Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data ClipForge collects when you connect a TikTok account, why we collect it, how we store it, and how you can delete it.
1. TikTok data we access
When you link your TikTok account via TikTok Login, and only with the scopes you approve, we access:
- Profile — display name, avatar, username, and verified
status (
user.info.basic,user.info.profile). - Statistics — follower count, following count, likes
count, and video count (
user.info.stats). - Video metadata — the public videos on your account
(id, title, cover image, share URL, view/like counts) via
video.list. - Publishing permission — to post a clip to your account
on your request (
video.publish).
2. Why we use it
Profile and statistics are shown to you inside ClipForge so you can see the connected account. Video metadata powers your in-app video list. Publishing permission is used only when you explicitly choose to post a clip.
3. Tokens and storage
To act on your behalf we store the TikTok access token and refresh token issued to your account, together with the cached profile fields above, on our own server. Tokens are used solely to make TikTok API calls for your account and are never exposed to the mobile app or any third party.
4. Sharing and selling
We do not sell your TikTok data and do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.
5. Deleting your data
You can disconnect your TikTok account at any time from the ClipForge app (Profile → unlink). Unlinking immediately deletes the stored tokens and cached profile from our server. You may also request deletion by emailing youngkesinova@gmail.com.
6. TikTok's own policies
Your use of TikTok and any TikTok content remains governed by TikTok's own Privacy Policy and Platform terms.
